I too had suffered this problem with sony xpeia x10 ,which is my frineds phone. I dont know the pattern to unlock the phone but i tried it 5 times and it said me to wait for 30 seconds and try again for the pattern but knowingly i tried again and it messed up things .It displayed an optin to enter email id and password of the google mail account which was given during applying pattern lock and my friend doesnt remember that email id and password so how to unlock the phone.Its simple to unlock it but we need to forget about the data in the phone .
