Traffic Widget in Android ICS

Google Maps has taken a major change by adding live traffic updates, though it is not supported in all places but the places at which it has been supporting is being used by many to know traffic at particular location while planning their travel. Open https://maps.google.com/ and select traffic view by moving your cursor on default map display view then select Traffic, after zooming maps it looks as below

Android latest version 4.0 formally known as Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)  has gained an immense priority from its availability  in all latest mobiles from Google Nexus S, HTC ONE series till now Samsung Galaxy SIII. 

Is there any relation between these two?? Yes, Now you can know the traffic at any place on ICS supported phones with a simple widget, which can be easily done by following steps:

> Long press on your Android OS phone(Samsung Galaxy SIII, HTC One Series, Samsung Nexus S etc)

> Click on Widget  and it display a list of all available widgets on your phone

> Scroll down to Traffic and click it

>In name field for your widget for example(trafficdallas)

> In enter destination field enter the place where you want see traffic(eg dallas)  and click on save 

> Give some time(normally 10 seconds) for the widget to sync with google maps and update the traffic at the specified location 

> If traffic at specified place is available then you can see widget as

> if you see any warning symbol instead of any color then please check the place again

That's it!! Now on your phone tap you can see traffic status at particular location, isn't it handy? 

Chrome Update

Google Chrome  has released its new version which is 19.0.1084.46 m , its very simple to update chrome or check its version all you need to do is follow these simple steps and you are done.

after clicking a pop-up window is displayed which gives the current version installed in your 

Desktop/Laptop and present updated version of Google Chrome and if any update is required then it is done automatically

Cold Turkey

Cold Turkey is website blocking tool available for both free and paid versions. This portable tool is available for Microsoft Windows OS and supports Windows XP/Vista/7, free version can block sites to a maximum of seven days whereas paid version can do this for thirty days . Once the tool has been successfully installed the screen looks like this

You can also the site you wish by clicking on Custom Sites and entering manually or by clicking on import file( save all the websites URL's you want to block  in txt file). After selecting all the websites you wanted to block in the second step select the date and time upto which you want to block these sites then click on "GO COLD TURKEY!" and that's it you are done , all the mentioned sites will be blocked till the specified time. 

A warning window which confirm that the blocking of sites is about to be started.

Google Chrome Multiple Login Users

Google Chrome allows multiple google accounts login, by which you can separate your personal work and business work, helps in managing book marks, history, saved login credentials. Another usage of this multiple user sign is we can sign into different gmail accounts simultaneously without affecting each other even if other account is logged out. Setting up multiple login and manage users is very easy all you need is to follow these steps :
1. Open Google Chrome if you hadn't opened.
2. To the right side of the window beneath address bar there is text displayed Not Signed into Chrome (You're missing out Sign in)click on "sign in"

3. On clicking opens a new website where you need to enter your google account username and password.

4. After signing into your google accounts successfully you can see your login email id right beneath address bar and now you can surf sites as usual.
5.Already saved bookmarks and history will be imported automatically along with saved user login credentials of different websites if it was previously enabled

You can also delete any account whenever you want.

Changing Auto Save Time option in MS WORD

Microsoft Word  one of the best text editors, only one thing makes me disappointment regarding this application is that it is not available for free. Auto Save option is one of the feature in MS WORD 2007 and 2010, by default the auto save time option is set to ten minutes which can be changed to the time you want and also at your specified location  which can be done by following these simple steps:

1. Open your MS WORD 2007 if it's not opened.

2. Click on MS OFFICE button on the top ( if you are not clear see the image below)

3. Select Word Options which is at the bottom of the window.                                                                    

4. A new window opens where you can see different options like Popular, Display, Proofing etc.                 

5. Click on "Save" option tab and the window looks like below image

6. In the right side of window you can change auto save document format from a list represented in drop-down list default being .docx

7. By checking Auto Save Recovery Information minutes helps you in saving the document automatically after specified minutes default value is set to 10.

8.Auto file saving file location can be changed under Auto Recover Location , clear the default file location and enter the location where you want to save it, if you are not sure of where to save by clicking on browse button helps you in choosing location.

P.S:  In 2010 click on Word Button , similar procedure can be followed for EXCEL, POWERPOINT and OTHER MS OFFICE APPLICATIONS

Unable to browse internet in chrome/firefox

We might be unable to browse internet in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or other browser but in Internet Explorer you can browse it sometimes a strange problem like this also occurs. At the time after trying all the suggestions displayed on the browser also will not solve this one, this doesn't mean that a virus had been affected to your system and system formatting or system restore is not necessary.All you need to do is change check firewall settings of your antivirus if its installed. Turn it off and check whether you are able to browse internet this will solve your problem , after this change your antivirus firewall settings to default and turn it on.now you must be able to browse internet in other browser too.

Is The Pirate Bay(TPB) banned in UK

thepiratebay.org/thepiratebay.se is a Swedish website in which magnetic links and torrents file are available. After facing so many trials and cases against the founders of this famous torrent website on the charges of assisting to copyright infringement is about to face another blow in the form of ban in United Kingdom. High Court of UK has recently passed a law which summaries as to ban the torrent sharing website in UK via ISP (Internet Service Providers like Virgin Media, BT, Sky etc) ban. After a severe blow to web hosting sites in the form of arrest of Mega Upload/Mega Video website founders and other members by FBI in New Zealand which cannot be recovered within weeks this is the next big step. After shutting down of Mega upload/Mega video website a hacker group named ANONYMOUS had attacked several US government websites after severe warnings, will this group attack UK websites or not is not yet answered as there has been no move on this issue.

Samsung Galaxy S III

Samsung Galaxy S II which had increased  market of Samsung among smart phones and is the only smart phone which gave a tough competition to its competitor Apple iPhone 4/ Apple iPhone 4S though the latter was a winner but the former was able to give a very tough competition and captured lot of market. Samsung is now planning to release successor of this smart phone Samsung Galaxy S III(which it named) this year. In most of  websites and magazines had stated that March would be the month for the release of this most awaited smart phone, but Samsung officials had denied it and didn't say when it would be. After Apple releases its most awaited tablet iPad 3 a statement may be released by Samsung authorities regarding the release of Samsung  Galaxy S III and lets us wait and see whether this run on latest Android 4.0 commonly known as ice cream sandwich, if so then it would be the second smart phone after Samsung Nexus S to run on this mobile OS as plans have been made by HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Sony and other mobile manufacturers to release mobile os updates to their existing Android devices.

Apple iPad 3

 When Apple announced the release iPhone 4S with ios5.0 for iPhone 3GS and higher which also includes iPad and iPad with features like 8 Mp camera,  Image edit options, inbuilt twitter app, A5 chip ,Siri ( how can anyone forget this) and many more though most of them where disappointed but where anxiety to try their hand on new iPhone and ios. There is a good news for all Apple product lovers and especially iPad , Apple is planning to release iPad in March 2012, with features like NFC and more advanced features which iPhone and iPad lack, lets wait for an official announcement and if this is true then it would be a major release after the death of Apple's visionary Steve Jobs.

How to install software from iso file without writing into CD/DVD in XP

To install a software which is in iso file we generally write the iso file on to a disk and then install the software using that disk. With out the help of any external disk we can install the software by using WinRar software.

We need to install WinRar software in our system, during installation it  asks the default file extensions you want to be opened using WinRar click all and finish the installation. Once you are done with the installation open the iso folder right click on the iso file and select "open with" in that you can see WinRar click on that one and the content of the iso file will be opened in a new window and we can install the software from that window by double clicking on the setup file .

Don't   close the WinRar pop until you finish the installation else it may lead to failure in installation

How to Reduce Piracy level on new films

To be frank PIRACY cannot be stopped completely but can be reduced if we all stop encouraging them (which i think so is also difficult), then how to reduce piracy. For every site which hosts new films they would be having an average number of hits during normal days, normal days means before a release of new film or if no film has been released in the past week( which is again impossible). But the number of hits of the site after the release of a new film will be more.My idea is not to delete the film from that site but to increase the site hits level. We all underwent a situation on the day of the release of results of 10th standard amazed why I brought this one here.On that day for displaying our results it takes time not even minutes in some cases hours which leads to frustration in some people like me to see results tomorrow or any other means apart of online.My idea of reducing piracy level is to attack the sites which host the new films*  link for free** watch online by DOS/DDOS attack by which the number of hits to the site increases which results in slow accessing of the site which leads to frustration to viewers which in turn leads to decrease of piracy for some time. We need to attack those sites only for few days may be for one week or two weeks.
